about lasiana beach

lasiana beach. one of the beaches in west timor, indonesia which is situated nearby kupang. the capital city.

it’s about 17 km from city centre. a beach where locals spending their weekend with all family members and gather with relatives and colleagues.

so, don’t be surprised. the aroma of grilled fish, guitars playing, liquor fragrance from fermented palm fruits are in the air. it’s kinda like beach festival on sunday. whilst the boys do volleyball, jogging, fishing or swimming.

for us, watching the waving spiky lontar leaves and sunset are very interesting. in the simplicity of lasiana beach. spiky lontar [palm tree] is an icon of timor island.
